This privacy policy explains how Aeon Eclipse Games collects and uses your personal information when you visit the Free Void Flotilla website, sign up for our emails, or send us something through our forms. We keep it short and plain. If anything is unclear, just ask us.

What we collect and why

We only collect what you choose to give us through our forms.

We also receive basic technical information (such as your IP address) that every website host processes to deliver pages and keep them secure. We don't use it to identify you.

The companion app

The Free Void Flotilla app saves your fleets only on your own device, using your browser's local storage. That information never leaves your device and is not sent to us. There are no accounts. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser data for our site.

Cookies and visitor statistics

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. We may use GoatCounter to count visits. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across sites, and doesn't collect personal information about you. Because of this, we don't show a cookie banner.

Emails and unsubscribing

We only send marketing emails to people who have signed up. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing us. We'll stop sending you emails promptly, and in any case within 10 working days. Our emails always say who they're from and include a way to contact us.

Who we share your information with

We never sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site:

  • Cloudflare hosts our website and stores the forms you fill in.
  • Our email provider (to be confirmed) will send our emails once our mailing list moves there.
  • GoatCounter counts visits without collecting personal information.

Some of these providers are based in, or store data in, the United States. When information is transferred outside the UK or EU, we rely on the legal safeguards those providers offer, such as the UK–US Data Bridge, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or standard contractual clauses.

Our shop will run on a separate store platform with its own privacy policy, which will apply when you buy from us.

We may also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep your information

  • Mailing list: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only a record that you unsubscribed, so we don't email you again by mistake.
  • Retailer enquiries: for up to 2 years after our last contact, unless we start working together.
  • Art submissions: we delete submissions we don't feature within 12 months. For featured work, we keep your credit details for as long as the work is shown, and we stop using it in future posts if you ask us to.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct anything that's wrong;
  • delete your information;
  • stop or limit how we use it;
  • give you your information in a format you can take elsewhere;
  • withdraw your consent at any time. This doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

To use any of these rights, email us at [Enter email here]. We'll reply within one month.

If you're in the UK and unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. If you're in the EU, you can contact your local data protection authority.

California residents: we don't sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we don't use it for targeted advertising. You have the right to know what we collect, ask us to delete it, and not be treated differently for using your rights.

Children

Our site is not aimed at children under 13, and our mailing list is for people aged 16 and over. If you're under 18 and want to submit art, a parent or guardian must submit it for you. If you think a child has given us their information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell our mailing list.
