These terms apply when you use the Free Void Flotilla website, run by Laurence Mallam, trading as Aeon Eclipse Games ("we", "us"). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Buying from our shop is covered by separate terms of sale on the shop itself.
Our content
Free Void Flotilla, Aeon Eclipse Games, and everything we publish on this site belong to us or the people who licensed them to us. That includes:
- the game rules and text;
- the lore, setting, factions, names and logos;
- artwork, photos and graphics;
- 3D models and STL files;
- the companion app.
They're protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view and share links to our pages and use our content for personal, non-commercial purposes as these terms allow. You may not copy, sell, or republish it for commercial purposes without our written permission.
Free downloads
Some rules, files and STLs are free to download. Unless the download page says otherwise, they are for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may:
- print and play with them;
- 3D print models for your own games and hobby;
- share photos and videos of your games and painted models (we'd love to see them).
You may not sell, redistribute, or re-upload our files or prints made from them, or use them in commercial products, without our written permission. Paid STLs and any commercial licences are covered by the terms on the store you bought them from.
Fan content and submissions
We welcome fan art, painted flotilla photos and other community submissions. When you send us anything, our Community Art Submission Policy applies. In short:
- you keep the copyright in your work;
- you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to show and share it in our promotional channels, with credit to you;
- we won't sell it or use it as official product art without a separate written agreement;
- we only accept human-made work, not straight AI-generated pieces;
- you confirm you have the right to submit it, and it isn't offensive or unlawful;
- we may decline any submission, and we'll stop using your work in future posts if you ask.
Submitted work is community content, not official Free Void Flotilla canon.
Acceptable use
Please don't use the site to break the law, upload harmful code, try to get into parts of the site you shouldn't, overload it, or harass anyone.
No warranty
We provide the site, the app and free downloads "as is". We work hard to keep everything accurate and working, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for your purpose.
Our liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect loss, or for any loss caused by using the site, the app or free downloads. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.
Links to other sites
Our site links to other websites, such as Kickstarter, YouTube, social media and our shop platform. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes will be handled by its courts. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you can also rely on your local consumer protection laws and bring a claim in your local courts.
